The Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes are a must-visit in Death Valley National Park. During our visit, we spent a good portion of a day exploring the dunes—hiking across the crest from point to point. We covered a lot of ground in a short time and it was a highlight of our trip. We made sure to get an early start to avoid the high temps known to creep up throughout the day. Easily accessible, the dunes are located near Stovepipe Wells and should definitely be on added to your list of places to experience in the US.

“The dunes carry a dualistic quality: in one sense you feel on top of the world, and in another, you quickly realize just how small you are on this planet.”

Death Valley: 002

We chose to feature the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in our Death Valley Collection to showcase the vast differences of landscapes throughout the park. Each print in this series highlights a different region and, subsequently, will evoke a different feeling and overall mood for everyone.
